Radda Commended for Revitalising Katsina State Radio Services

Dikko Umaru Radda has been commended for what was described as a timely intervention that restored and strengthened the operations of the state-owned radio station.

In a statement issued by the General Manager of the station, Malam Lawal Attahiru Bakori expressed satisfaction with projects executed by the administration, noting that they have significantly improved the station’s operational capacity.

Bakori cited the installation of solar power inverter systems at the Katsina and Dutsin-Ma stations as a major milestone, explaining that the development would ensure uninterrupted service delivery to listeners across the state.

He also acknowledged the completion of perimeter wall fencing at the two sub-stations, construction and installation of new gates, and the rehabilitation of previously unserviceable vehicles, among other interventions.

According to him, the government’s support has provided a substantial boost to broadcast media operations in the state, positioning the station to more effectively serve the public.

The General Manager urged members of staff to reciprocate the government’s gesture through diligence and professionalism. He also called on residents to continue patronising the station and to offer constructive feedback aimed at improving service delivery.

The revitalisation initiative is expected to enhance the station’s role in promoting public awareness, disseminating critical information, and strengthening community engagement.

The state-owned broadcaster currently operates 18 hours of uninterrupted daily transmission and, with the recent upgrades, is projected to play a more prominent role in the state’s media landscape.
